Achaban House offers bed and breakfast on the Isle of Mull and is near to the Iona ferry. Iona has few bed and breakfast facilities and, and staying on Mull is often cheaper and more practical. We think our bed and breakfast is one of the most comfortable to be found on the Ross of Mull or Iona.

The accommodation comprises: 1 family, 2 doubles, 2 twins and 1 single room each having views over the surrounding open countryside.

Ground Floor:
The sitting room on the ground floor has a good selection of games, guide books, maps and an open fire in the evenings. The bright and informal dining room reflects the atmosphere of the large family that enjoyed the house over many generations. The family room (1 double and 2 single beds) with large en suite shower room, is suitable for wheel chair access.

First Floor:
The wide landing leads to Iona, a large south-facing twin room with bay window and a private bathroom.
Pottie, a double south facing room with en suite shower room and Loch view.
Kintra, a double room with en suite shower, Torr Mor a twin room with en suite shower room and Creich a generously proportioned en suite single room.
A 2.4 metre high standing stone, between 4-5,000 years old and aligned to the North Star, stands in the garden close to the house.
It is therefore reasonable to assume that the site at one time had a spiritual significance. Guests often remark on the light and peaceful feeling of the house.
Over the years Achaban has retained its original style and comfortable family atmosphere.
